Thank you for your lovely new years card. I hope that you and your family had good Christmas.

The reason I am writing is two-fold:
First the BAD news: Axel has decided to close down the band X-WILD. There were several reasons for this decision.Firstly the studio boss - Blue Merlie label co-boss stole all X-WILD money from the bank accaunt and there is no way that Axel can get it back. So Axel is having to pay the bills out of his pocket. Stefan and Jens have started a new band and Jens wanted to leave X-WILD. Also, no-one had time for the band, because Jens and Axel both have jobs and cannot just leave for 6 weeks to go on tour, even if they had the money for it.

Anyway, the other reason for my writing is following. Axel works for Paiste, as you may know and he has asked me to help him as follows. What we need is
-Names and contact address of ALL KINDS OF RUSSIAN/UCRAINIAN etc. MUSIC BANDS (metal, pop,classical,folks music etc.). Better would be semi-professional bands.
-Names and contact address of ALL KINDS OF RUSSIAN/UCRAINIAN etc. music magazines.
-Names and contact address of ALL KINDS OF RUSSIAN/UCRAINIAN etc.Concert organizers.

Perhaps you know of some kind of fanzine in Ucraine or in Russia, where the editor cold put an item like this:
LARGE EUROPEAN MUSIC EQUIPMENT COMPANY WISHES TO CONTACT SEMI-PROFESSIONAL BANDS AND CONCERT ORGANIZERS OF ALL KINDS OF MUSIC. PLEASE SEND NAME AND ADDRESS AND (BANDS) DEMO TAPE IF POSSIBLE TO ..

It would be really great if you could help me with this. If may be difficult for you, but perhaps you already have some LPs or MCs or CDs of Russian bands which has the contact address on them and you could write the address in "our" writing for me.

Well, I'll closen now. I have to find something for our evening meal and the roads are all frozen so I didn't go shopping today.

Yes, Axel does need some help with the company's idea. Axel is currently in the USA but I will tell him that you'd be willing to help in this and I am sure that he will pass it on to his boss.
I think someone who
a) knows the scene like yourself
b) speaks/writes English will be very good for the company.
I don't know what the payment will be like but I am sure thet they will come to an arrangment with you. Maybe they could also supply you with a fax machine or something.

Thanks for your letter.

Yes, I've been very busy as usual - I am now running the RAGE fanclub. And I have also been hired to interpret at some sports event over the past few weeks, plus all my usual work. I am also writing webpages now, for our own product (the Cat Cheetah triatlon bikes), the Z7 concert factory and few more places . It seems that no sooner I finish one kind of work than another comes along.

I haven't seen Axel for over a year now. I thought he may come to a concert in the Z7 some time , but I haven't seen him there yet. The Z7 is a concert hall that I help at, it is near Basel, so it is further for Axel to drive - I think he lives in Switzerland now. But I did forward all the information to him and also to Paiste in North Germany. Perhaps you would like to contact Paiste in Tallin yourself when you have time and deal with them direct. Axel really is very unreliable sometimes and I feel very bad that nothing has come of it for you.

As to the s/h car prices. The price vary so much depending on make , model, year, condition, kilometers driven, equipment included, whether the vehicle test has run out or not. Sometimes you can get a bargain, but sometimes you pay a lot - it is so difficult to give difinite prices. As an example, we had a 1986 Lancia Delta HF Turbo, 85'000km, bodywork had very very little rust, engine was in qood condition, there was radio/cassette player in it, but the vehicle test had run out. We tried to sell it for 500 Swiss Francs, but couldn't so finally we gave it away to someone who wanted a car and who had the knowledge to do the work required.

I do not any news about RW and to be honest, I have no interest any more in this band since they banned me from going to the show in "my" hall in April. Rolf threatened the organizer that if I was at the concert, the band would not play. The organiser told him that I worked there, but Rolf said that did not matter. So I do not want anything more to do with a person who is so arrogant, self-centred and abusive enough that he goes to a foreign country and forbids a free citizen of that country from free movement to a public place and from doing her work. I wrote the full story about this on the internet and I received a lot of support from all over the world.

So please do not ask me about Running Wild any more - I do not help people find their albums any more, I do not give away promo things of this band any more - the next time he makes this kind of threat - my lowyer and my employees in the Swiss Government ( for whom I do thechnical translations) say that we can have Rolf arrested at the border, or at least refused entry into this country.
